Carol Lebeau Former News 10 Anchor says:
“Judith Habert has taken “San Diego Woman” to a new level. The features are fascinating and informative. The magazine highlights women from all walks of life doing wonderful things in San Diego. The photography is first-rate…the layout creative and eye-catching. It’s simply beautiful… a “must read” in San Diego.”
I loved your article on Kimberly Hunt and her family. I remember when Savannah was born. I can’t believe how grown up she is. Judging from the article she sure has turned out special. Kimberly & Billy Ray, you did an amazing job!
Julie from Point Loma
Your story about Anne Cleveland was inspiring. It makes me feel awfully lazy when I complain that I am tired after a trip to the mall. She is amazing.
Colleen from Leucadia
Way to go! For years older men have dated younger women. It is nice to see that it is our turn. I loved your article. Keep them coming.
Patricia from Del Mar
How funny and inspirational to see men in high heels for such a great cause. It was nice to see our community leaders joining in to help spread the word.
Terri from Oceanside
For years I dealt with a woman at work who bullied me. It took me three years to get up the courage to tell her off and stand up for myself. Life actually got a lot better after I did. I am no longer at the same job, but I learned a valuable lesson and will never let anyone do that to me again. Thanks for talking about a tough subject in your magazine. What a great publication.
Leonora from San Diego
Your article “Does My Butt look Big” was so funny. I did feel bad for the “He” since women don’t make it easy by asking the tough questions. This is my favorite part of your magazine because we get to hear the male point of view along with the female side. It is the first article I read in each issue.
Lily from El Cajon
A co-worker is getting married in two months so I couldn’t help but share with her your article about things to ask before getting married. Dr. Penny made some great points in her column. I am not engaged, but I am saving this article so I can be prepared when the time comes.
Susie from La Mesa
Every issue I read the wine connoisseur column and learn something new. I thought I knew a lot about wine, but I have realized how much I have to learn. I love to see the expression on my husband’s face when I sip my favorite wine while giving him the latest fact that I just learned. He used to be the expert about wine in our house, but I can now keep up. Thanks Deborah.
Debbie from La Jolla
Thanks for a wonderful approach to a women’s publication. It’s nice to have a magazine educate and inform the ladies of San Diego.
Jennifer from Point Loma
I loved your feature on Carol Lebeau. I always loved watching her on the evening news and now after reading her story I love her even more. What a strong and inspirational woman and a great choice for your cover girl.
Bernadette from San Diego
I never realized how many great resorts we have in San Diego. Your article “Paradise in your own backyard” opened my eyes to some great local options. For our anniversary I decided to take your suggestion and I surprised him with a room at the Hilton on the Bay. It was our best anniversary yet! Thanks for a great idea and a great magazine.
Annie from San Marcos
The photographs in your magazine are breathtaking. Hats off to your photographer.
Lilly from Carlsbad
Thank you for your article about what to do when children won’t listen. I have been struggling to deal with a temperamental 4 year old. Now I know I’m not alone.
Sammi from Escondido
When I had to buy a car for my stepdaughter I thought I would go crazy. It caused several fights with my husband but I stood my ground and she ended up with a good reliable vehicle. No it wasn’t a brand new sports car but I can relax when she is out driving, because I know it is safe. I totally agree with your article.
Joan from Poway
Can I come work with you? I bet your staff has a blast putting each issue together. Where can I sign up?
Lauren from San Diego
My favorite article in your magazine is He Said/She Said. Highlighting the difference between how men and women see things has been enlightening to me. I have to agree with Robert though, sorry Judith, but men are beaten up an awful lot when women should stand up and take the blame as well. Great column.
Andrea from Alpine
Keep up the good work. Your magazine always makes me smile.
Wendy from La Jolla
I loved the Spotlight Column and the listing of local concerts. What a great way to get to know some of our local talent and keep track of what is happening around town. Thanks for sharing Dana’s story.
Briana from Point Loma
I feel sorry for the men of San Diego, they need a magazine dedicated to them too. Maybe that can be your next venture.
Jill from San Marcos
I love your magazine. My only complaint is that you are not monthly. It is so hard to wait two months for an issue. Everything else is wonderful. Keep informing the women of San Diego. We love it.
Jan from San Diego
I took your magazine with me to the beach today. This is the first issue that I have read, and I am ecstatic. This is a great magazine! Your magazine is a breath of fresh air in a congested industry. Although, I may be partial as I am a San Diego native.
Carrie from San Diego
I loved the articles in the last issue. Your cover story gave me hope. I have a teenager who has struggled along the way and reading Holly Carney’s story made me see that we were on the right track with him. Thanks for the encouraging words.
Lisa from Oceanside
Congratulations on your awards. It is so nice to see recognition for a great product. Keep up the wonderful work. I anxiously await each new issue.
Sandy from Del Mar
I absolutely loved your He Said/She Said column. I laughed so hard when I read the comments about chores versus housework. I just had to pass on the article to my husband who of course agreed with the He Said part. Of course that didn’t surprise me, because I totally supported the She Said part. This is a great addition to your magazine. I can’t wait to read the next one.
Leila from Encinitas
I’ve been to the Westgate Hotel. It is truly a great spot for some wonderful entertainment. I loved the poem and it reminded me that I need to pay another visit to this great downtown location.
Callie from Rancho Bernardo
I have learned so much from your wine connoisseur column. I felt like such an idiot before since I work with a group of women who seem to know so much about wines. After reading this column for several months I finally am feeling like I can keep up with their conversations when we go out for our monthly girl’s night out. Thanks for helping to educate me.
Kari from La Jolla
I was having such a stressful day, unable to concentrate or relax when I picked up your magazine at a local Vons. I have to say it took my mind off of my problems for a short time and made me smile. I particularly enjoyed your “Glorious Summer” article since I needed some help learning to relax and this article helped me to focus. Thanks for another great issue.
Patty from Del Mar
I loved your special section on Women of Distinction. There was such a wide range of women in different areas and all of them seemed to make successes of their lives. It was truly inspirational. Seeing what women can accomplish, and do every day, makes a young woman (I’m 22) realize that if I put my mind to it I can reach my goals too.
Julie from Pacific Beach
What inspirational women! Not only was your cover story incredible, but so was your special section highlighting all of those amazing women. It’s about time women receive credit for being successful.
Annie from San Diego
Your magazine arrived in the mail today. It is gorgeous! If it weren't for my age, I'd drop everything and move out to San Diego. I feel that you are capturing the very feel of the city and how it relates to women. Each page is a delight! Do keep that magazine coming!
Caroline from New York
I just got the magazine......and I love it! It is beautifully put together and you can tell that there was a lot of care and concern that went into every detail. The cover, fonts, colors, layout, etc. I think the cover is wonderful. Classy, sophisticated, classic beauty. I think it will fly off of the shelves because of the cover. You all should be very proud of the finished product that you have put out.
George from San Diego
I can’t tell you how much I look forward to reading your magazine. Each issue is better than the last. I can’t wait to see the next one. Keep up the good work!
Kelly from Del Mar
What a refreshing change your magazine is from other women’s publications. It is so nice to read a magazine that provides intelligent articles of substance. I can’t read another women’s magazine about picking out the perfect makeup or what shoes to wear with what outfit. Women are so much more than that, and your magazine proves that. Please don’t change.
Leigh Anne from Poway
I think your new mag is much classier than the old one. Loved the article on the girl who began her own exercise program involving the baby strollers. Fantastic. I was so impressed with the choice of articles each one of great interest, and well written..brava brava!.
Anne from New York
I admit it, I read every issue of the magazine that my wife brings home. Although some of the articles are not about topics that I am familiar with, I do find that your magazine provides some insight into how women think. It is truly an education.
Ron from Sabre Springs
I loved the interview with Douglas Kirkland. What an amazing man…and his photographs are incredible. Thanks for sharing a bit of history with your readers.
Linda from San Marcos
Congratulations! I love the new magazine. I have been reading your magazine since it originated, but I am so impressed with the new look. Your content has always been great. I only wish it came out monthly.
Lori from Rancho Bernardo
Your interview with Douglas Kirkland was terrific. It is so hard to imagine being able to photograph such icons. As an amateur photographer, I enjoyed reading about a photographer who has accomplished so much. He seems like such a nice guy too.
Jenni from Solana Beach
My favorite part of your magazine is your “Women of Distinction” section. It helps to see how other women have made a success of their lives. It is inspiring!
Connie from San Diego
I love the recipe, I made it at home and it was so good. I would love to see more recipes. Maybe readers could submit their favorites each month? Thanks.
Josephine from Ramona
“Traveling with Teens” gave me some great ideas for our family trip this summer. If it goes well I will write and tell you. Even if it doesn’t I will let you know. Traveling with my two teenagers and my one stepson has been challenging. I appreciate any help I can get.
Marie from Escondido
My favorite article this month was “Memories of Dad,” it brought a tear to my eye and reminded me of my own dad. Sometimes when things get really hectic we don’t have time to remember those who are gone. This article made me remember. Many thanks.
Barbara from Carlsbad
Wonderful, Wonderful, Wonderful…what more can I say
